Service Description

My Two Cents Community Help Services is not a home health agency. This service is available to members or their families who find themselves under the care of a physician and home health agency but require additional visits not covered by their insurance. Often patients are discharged from a facility, under the care of a physician and agency, but must learn how to self administer antibiotics/ Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)/ Hydration, etc. via Central-line (PICC, Mediports, etc.) or peripheral IV. At times, Enteral Feedings (via G-Tube/ PEG tube) are ordered, and the insurance company will only pay for a certain number of nursing visits. The politics don't allow for two nursing agencies to care for a patient, and it is illegal and unethical for your regular home health nurse to take private payments for services. The Extended Family Program allows the client to receive experienced Registered Nursing care without creating a conflict of interest. Any services your physician has ordered you or your family to perform at home, under the care of a licensed home health agency, our services can be utilized in adjunct. The Extended Family Program only costs $15 per day (up to 2 hours) as the need arises. Payment is due the day of or prior to service. So, if the client's family member is unavailable, or home health agency is only authorized 1 to 3 times weekly, and you desire additional care, your Private Duty RN will provide additional services. For example, clients who find themselves in need of daily, weekly, or monthly infusions can utilize this specialty service, performed by their own Private Duty RN. Infusions longer than 2 hours are available for negotiation based on RN availability, but cannot exceed 6 hours. Therapy required that is 1 hour or less is covered at no additional charge.
